iPickGuitar · Lesson policy
Clear before the first lesson.
The simple rules behind every iPickGuitar lesson — how lessons run, how packages work, and what happens when a week doesn’t go to plan.
How lessons run
One student, one teacher, one plan.
Nothing here is a surprise: the lesson is private, the length is your choice, and the time is agreed before anything is set. The same approach applies whether we come to your home or meet online.
- Every lesson is private and one-to-one — 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
- Lessons take place in the student’s home across Toronto and the GTA, or live online from anywhere.
- Your first lesson is a free 45-minute trial, with no commitment and no package to buy.
- You request a date and time through the booking page; we confirm every request personally before it is set.
- Lessons run Monday to Friday, 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm (Toronto time).
Packages, payment & refunds
Four lessons at a time.
Lessons are sold in packages rather than one at a time, because progress comes from regular practice between meetings. Every rate is published on the pricing page and in the shop.
- Lessons are booked in packages of four, at the rates shown on the pricing page and in the iPickGuitar shop.
- All prices are in Canadian dollars and match the shop listing for that package.
- Packages are purchased through the shop, which is powered by Shopify — payments and orders are handled there.
- A package is used within three months of purchase, so lessons stay on a steady weekly rhythm.
- Purchased lesson packages are non-refundable, including any unused lessons.
Rescheduling & cancellations
24 hours’ notice, and we’ll find another time.
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule without losing a lesson. Missed lessons and cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged as one lesson from your package.
- Please give 24 hours’ notice to reschedule a lesson.
- Lessons rescheduled with that notice move to another time in the same package.
- Missed lessons and cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice count as one lesson used from your package.
- If we need to move a lesson at short notice, we will always offer you another time.
- Tell us as early as you can when something comes up — school, work and travel happen, and we work with families around them.
Online lessons
What an online student needs.
Online lessons reach students anywhere in the world. A little preparation makes the hour worth your while.
- A reliable internet connection.
- A device with a camera and microphone, positioned so your hands are visible.
- A tuned guitar — acoustic, classical or electric.
- A quiet space where you can hear and be heard.
